For many people today, myself included, it is easy to get caught up in the day to day demands of life; people are so very busy that they forget how important reflection is. Reflection allows you to slow down and consider what life is all about such as enjoying each moment, reminiscing about the past and even considering the future. Thankfully there are songs about the stages of life that have a way of stopping you in your tracks and help you regain the greater picture. I heard the song 100 Years by Five for Fighting this week, for the first time in a long time, and it immediately brought me back to a younger age and I spent a great deal of time re-examining myself at that age and depicting what had changed to make me into the man I am today. That is the power of music. It is a form of expression and thus can inspire self-reflection but also when played for others it can inspire reflection on their part as well.
Anyways, here is a video of me singing 100 years. It is the second time hearing it and it takes me on a different journey through the years of life, and potential years I will reach eventually. Enjoy my amazing vocal talents!
