Fear within the context of society is making me hesitant to write reflections, as it is a permanent lasting reflection of my thoughts and myself as a person that I may be judged from. However, fear is also driving me to write this post because if I don't I'm not complying within the norms of the class and may be looked negatively upon. Thus, fear can drive us to act but it can also stop us from reaching our maximum creative potential and go outside the box. Here are some good videos highlighting my point (haha I'm deflecting the responsibility of credit to others).

He talks about the fear of rejection as stopping us from acting. This also ties in with living life on the edge because if you never go and explore the wilderness you will never know what amazing things you can find out there.

Fear helps us function within society by upholding the law and stopping at a stoplight.

And this video is just too awesome, "Fear is not real, it can only exist in our thoughts of the future, a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that aren't present and may never exist. That is near insanity. Danger is very real, but fear is a choice"
